In the 17th people's congress Mr.HuJintao emphasize that at present culture is the important source that make the peoples cohesive and creative; culture is the important factor that influences the competition of the comprehensive national strength. It is a fervently desire that the people want to enrich the spiritual and cultural life. Behind this speech has its deeper sense. After End of the Cold War, in particular the drastic changes in Eastern Europe and the collapse of the Soviet Union, the developed countries realized generally that national security has been shifted from the traditional political, military, economic security, cultural and other fields to non-traditional security field. That the cultural hegemony, along with output of Western values and ideology at the core of the culture became more and more effective in the way of cultural infiltration and subversion of the country., which makes developing countries, particularly socialist countries face a severe cultural security. Historical experience reveals that, to some extent, the demise of culture indicates the demise of the nation. If you want to destroy a nation, you can remove their cultural ideology. If you want to conquer a nation ,you can cut off its cultural venation. These are the usual means that are adopted by the conquerors and colonists. Therefore, in the era of globalization, culture security has been elevated to an issue of national survival. That how to deal with the challenges of cultural hegemony and how to understand and handle China's cultural security issues correctly is particularly essential to China in the period of transition.Former national security adviser of the United States Brzezinski said that the history of the development on communication is the process of media globalization and seeking the establishment of cultural hegemony in the Unites States. The author analyze and explore the our national culture security based on the subject of communication. In the era of the globalization at present, the mass media has become a threat to the other countries of culture security, which is used as method by the United States and other developed countries. From the perspective of media people, China's mass media culture has an unshakable responsibility in the maintenance of the national cultural safety, proposing the important strategies in the way of the mass media enhancing China's cultural security. This paper is divided into four parts: the first chapter is the Introduction. Chapter two, the definition of cultural security, meanwhile explains the role of cultural security, features and significance. Chapter three, China is facing the challenge of cultural security from home and abroad: external factors: economic globalization has brought to the "cultural hegemony", the output of cultural products working as "colonial invasion" of cultural industries formes, the West "hegemonic discourse" on China's national language of threats and the threat of peaceful evolution; domestic factors: cultural safety awareness, national cultural identity, decadent and dying culture, undeveloped cultural industries and the problem of corruption.
