Comparative aesthetics is one kind of aesthetics research, which goes over countries and the national boundaries. As an independent discipline, its appearance, is the need of times. It is one kind of necessity appears academic phenomenon, and the result of various national culture's studies and exchanges.In the realm of social science and humanities, cross–cultural study is a general trend, it came since the 20th century and cross–cultural subject becomes nearly a prerequisite with which every social science and humanities should have to face first. As a new research way of comparative aesthetics, the Cross-Cultural research is still at the exploration stage at present, but one thing that can be affirmed is that it will develop the good and discard the bad of paralleled research and the influence studies, absorbs their respective strong points, to favor the comparative aesthetics research under the global context.Jiang Kongyang is a contemporary aesthetician, who is very famous in our country. His broad and profound aesthetics research made a great contribution to Chinese contemporary aesthetics'construction and development, and also obtained the academic world attention. Some scholars have conducted some thorough research to his thoughts, and has made many progresses. But after considering the present research situation, the academic circle is insufficient to his rich comparative aesthetics thoughts. This paper takes Jiang Kongyang's comparative aesthetics thoughts for example, analyses and explains his comparative aesthetics thoughts, and discusses the profits and significance of his comparative aesthetics to our contemporary country's aesthetics construction. The paper altogether divides into three parts: the introduction, the main body and the conclusion.Introduction: I made a simple literature summary to Jiang Kongyang's aesthetics thoughts research, and pointed out that the theoretical and the practical significance of the studies of his comparative aesthetics thoughts under the global background.The first part: Discusses Jiang Kongyang's ideas and method about comparative aesthetics thoughts, and analyses his methodology in-depth connotation.The second part: I investigates Jiang Kongyang's concrete research under the tension between the Western Aesthetic and Chinese Aesthetics by means of comparative aesthetics and makes the detailed explanation to it. This part discussions mainly from two aspects: paralleled research and cross-cultural research. In dimension of paralleled research, launches the discussion from orientation and west aesthetics thoughts'similarities and differences and four groups of categories in comparative researches; Studies the dimension in cross-cultural, mainly understands from the cross-cultural interpretings, the cross-cultural interactions and incorporations, the cross-cultural exchanges and dialogues etc.The third part: Under the background of knowledge globalization, analyzes the opportunities and the problems in Chinese contemporary aesthetics, discusses the illumination we get from Jiang Kongyang's comparative aesthetics thoughts, combing to the defect in the development of modern aesthetics.Conclusion: Emphasizes again that Jiang Kongyang's comparative aesthetics thoughts'inspiration value under today's aesthetics research area, the aim we study his comparative aesthetics thoughts today is to contribute labors and materials to his theory, let his aesthetics thoughts glow in the new millennium.This paper's academic value lies in emphasizes that Jiang Kongyang's comparative aesthetics thoughts has the enlightenment significance to our country's contemporary aesthetics construction, the paper has a profound discussion towards his view on comparison, corrects some mistakes and points out the methodology connotation of Jiang Kongyang's"Comparative aesthetics view". The paper also carries on the discussions about cross-cultural comparative aesthetics research under the global background, and also proposes the valuable opinions to the Chinese contemporary aesthetics'construction and development in the new millennium.
