Malaysian Contemporary Chinese Writers Ivy

The Malaysian Chinese literature had gone through a challenging era during its development phase. Over the past 50 years or so, especially since Malaysia gained independence from colonial rule, there have been a number of women writers in different positions who make different levels of contributions to the Malaysian Chinese literature scene.I personally picked Ai Wei as my subject of research due to my subjective will and conception. This is because Ai Wei's career path in writing, her life experiences and her extensive literature works has contributed rather uniquely and significantly to the Malaysian Chinese literature genre.On the other hand, over more than half a century, Ai Wei has made notable success in the Malaysian Chinese literature career with her unyielding, courageous, resolute, never-give-up spirits, and her influence on the development of the Malaysian Chinese literature certainly reserves recognition and is highly laudable!To gain a further insight into Ai Wei's philosophy of life as well as all the accolades and applause she won for her successes, I have made an effort to peruse her literary works and refer to various third-party comments and reviews from her friends, other experienced writers and highly acclaimed international authors.This article also elaborates and interprets further on the theme, connotation and the artistic characteristics of Ai Wei's literary works, so that the readers will get a better understanding of her contributions as well as the literary value and social significance of her works.Last but not least, I earnestly hope that the outcome of this research will serve as a source of inspiration & motivation for all Malaysian Chinese literature writers (especially women writers), and Mdm. Ai Wei will be duly recognized as the epitome of conventional women in the modern era.I also sincerely hope that the Malaysian Chinese literature will widen its scope and vision and realize its goals by stepping out of its own shores, transcending national borders and establishing a coherent link with world literature.
