Students' Reading Motivation Development

As a valuable study, the research of the motivation of reading may fall into various angles.Making use of questionnaire study onto middles school students' reading motivation, the followingconclusions were drawn:The questionnaire of middle school students' reading motivation was forwarded with highreliability and validity.As a tentative analysis, eight factors of reading drive were outline: knowledge demanding, facingdifficulty, imaginary reading, acquiring knowledge and score, demand for competency, readinginteresting, social communication, acknowledge. And through a proving analysis, a model for middleschools students' reading with eight factors was concluded.The first Conclusion: there is an obvious correlation between the drive and grade of middleschool students. Senior middle students bear higher motivation than their senior counterpart. But,there is no obvious inside difference in them.The second conclusion: the reading motivation is related to various sexual factors, but thediversion is not obvious. On one hand, because of the reality that students' reading was manipulatedby school curriculum, the comparatively unreliable inspection may result the conclusion. On the otherhand, resulting intono autonomous reading, the unitized arrangement to students' reading behavior,was supposed to be an important cause to the condition.The third conclusion: the motivation is related to different type of school the students are from.The factors about achieving score bears diversion among schools: the students in common schoolhave higher motivation than their important school counterpart, and the factor of knowledgedemanding may subject to both grade and school type.
