Xun Mythological Studies

Lu Xun is the founder of Chinese literature mythology. This paper aims atresearching the value and contribution of his study on literature mythology.Firstly, this paper hackles Lu Xun's works on literature systematically, tolinearly present the process and main points of Lu Xun's mythological views.Secondly, this paper outlines the contents relating to mythology in Lu Xun'swork, to find out the relation between his literature and mythological view, thereforeto present the characteristics of Lu Xun as a writer and thinker on choosing thesource for mythological creation.Lastly, comparing Lu Xun's mythological works with others' at his time, thispaper highlights the importance and contribution of Lu Xun in the field ofmythology.When Lu Xun told myths, he always touched the points with simple and clearwords. He took mythology as the origin of the fiction,and he traced the mythologywith traditional historical method. This made his study on mythologh characterizedwith literal features, which distinguished his works from the plain record written bythe sociaologists and historians.The appendix includes all the quotations on mythology from Lu Xun'sacademic and literary works.
