There are many kinds of differences between Chinese discourse and English. Structure of passage and devices of organizing discourse are also existed in Chinese discourse and Chinese discourse. Structure difference is mainly reflected by the order of statement and conclusion. English people tend to put conclusion before statement in terms of structure difference caused by text difference. Chinese people tend to put statement before conclusion in terms of text.According to the difference of organizing discourse caused by the difference between Chinese discourse and English discourse, the organization of Chinese discourse is arranged by logic sequence which produces the statement from reason to result, from preposition to conclusion. Compared with Chinese discourse, English discourse turns out contrary to Chinese discourse. What discourse reflects is in essence the difference of thinking pattern. Oriental people pay more attention to entirety, synthesis and unity in terms of structure. However, western people emphasize individual, analysis and opposition. What oriental people care is not deduction which western people matter but induction in terms of devices of organizing passage. The difference of thinking pattern mainly lies in different philosophy, value and cultural context.
