Study Of The Song Dynasty Court Music Institutions

Music institution is indispensably part in Palace musical activities in Song dynasty.Music institution in Song dynasty had many kinds,such as Da Yue Shu,Gu Chui Shu,Jiao Yue Suo,Da Sheng Fu,Jun Rong Zhi,Dong Xi Ban,Yun Shao Bu,and so on.These musical institutions lead an inportant part in Palace musical activities in Song dynasty and had far-reaching effect to the development of Song dynasty's music especially the Palace music.There are many literatures to research the Song dynasty music but there are not so many literatures to research Palace music in Song dynasty and fewer literatures to research Palace musical institutions in Song dynasty.This article gives brief studies on Palace musical institutions in Song dynasty with the help of other literatures.Through the study of other literatures,I have a main understanding on Palace musical institutions in Song dynasty and summarize it's functions and also put forward it's performing,educational and social functions. In the next place I bring forward the it's trend of emphasizing elegance and despising vulgarity with the typical example of "Da Sheng Fu" and research into the reason to cause this phenomenon.
