ZuguangWu is a modern drama. His works include drama play, movie play, opera play and so on. His major achievement is in the drama field. Since his first works《the city of phenix》was published in 1930, good works was published every phase, except the period that he was treated unfairly. He had written and filmized more than forty plays. Except the works that was lost because of history, there are more than one million characters. These works have made specific contribution to the creation of modern arts and drama. In 1960s, his filmization of the movie play《Flowers as intermediary》is a classical works of renewal of Chinese traditional drama. Besides, Zuguang Wu executed and guided several art cinema, of which《arts stage of Lanfang Mei》,《Luoshen》,《lacrima in the barren hill》and other movies has left the cherish data of peking operararity arts Lanfang Mei, Yanqiu Chen for the offspring. We should say that the arts achievement should have their position in modern and current times, but it is a pity that it did not draw the people's attention, even no people specially study and research. Based on this situation, the thesis aims to give a overall and fair evaluation and made his works get respect and position that the should get.The thesis includes four sections:The First section: writing with enthusiasm impelled by the times. All the drama works of Zuguang Wu were made with enthusiasm, and integrate the specific and affective life experience with the In 1937, when he was twenty years old, because he has seen the people suffered from war and his can't suppress the grief and indignation, he joined the organization to publicize the revolution, he created drama《the city of phenix》, he then created《a healthy atmosphere》to make the image-building of ethical hero-Tianxiang Wen. Since then, he has used the drama to be a weapeon to publicize the revolution, inspiriting and mobilizing the people to defeat the Japanese invader. His enthusiasm of creation comes from the emotive billows.The Second section: the loneliness initiation outside the main rhythm. It was just the hard time of Anti-Japanese War, when Wu Guangzu' s masterpiece《The Man Return at Storm Night》was on performance in the fortieth. Most literature works including the playdom were aiming the same goal, which is propaganda to resist Japanese aggression. Resist Japanese aggression and save the country were absolutely the main rhythm ot that time. But the theme of《The Man Return at Storm Night》is enlightenment, it is not consist with times and so is criticized by FengHu. Enlightenment, the voice of a n abnormal, is out of time, lonely and desolation. But in the《The Man Return at Storm Night》, the author concerned about the ordinary people, who are lowliness actor with low social class. The theme of drama is not really independent of the times, but it has more deep thinking under the effect of times, and gives Humanity Spirit Care to ordinary people.The third section: vigorous resist.For the impact of Anti-Japanese War,Zuguang Wu composed《Chong Lin's night flee》relating to misgovernment making the people rebel;《Capture ghost》exposing the goverment of kuomintang;《juvenile's Struggle》reflecting the the college student's involvement of revolution, expressing the idea of survival of rebel. All the compositions reflected his charactor strenth of thrusting back the heavy pressure.The most valuable thing is the emergence revolutionist an Yan'an in《juvenile's Struggle》,which is the representative of Zuguang Wu's sharp and firm political attitude,and is the result of continual oppose.The fouth section: distant and romantic poetry. Zuguang Wu's composition derived the lyricism and enjoyable charactors of ancient drama,giving us a clear succinct forthright fluent and romantic style impression,which resulted from the poet's romantic human nature, art quality and the edification of the China's classical literature.The thesis aims to study and research on the works of ZuGuang Wu from multi-perspective and multi-orientation. The enthusiasm, enlightenment, oppose, poetry and personality are belonged to different category and they are intertwined, mutual Infiltrated and unified into the works. The thesis analyzed the works using correlative drama theory and discussed the great effect of author's personality on the works. In the centennial of the birth of Chinese drama, the thesis aims to make some contribution to the raise the upsurges of the drama.
