Sun Li's works are famous for the "Beauty", which is prominentlymanifested in his Sino-Japanese War novels. This kind of style isfacilitated by the idealistic design in his novles. The works not only havecontained Sun Li's individual ideal, but also contained the time idealduring the Sino-Japanese War time.Sun Li's esthetics ideal makes him like writing the happy things, the noble things and the bright things. Additionally, the politicalcontext in that period also urged him to respond to the mainstreamwords, and created those wonderful works which highly raised the idealism. On the expressing pattern, the idealistic effect is achieved throughthe below ways:while choosing the image, Sun Li likes portraying thefemales in the countryside. Sun li has poured many individual desires inthe image, therefore, the image is embellished. Meanwhile, the scenerywhich included rich symbol also displayed Sun li's ideal. Sun Li usedsome individual imagination in the creation process, the ugly things areimagined to be beautiful, the characters in the works are written to benobel; Sun Li ofen omits some plots, either omiting the war processdescription, or omiting the characters' misery life. "The view shifting"is also one of Sun li's commonly used expressing skills. When the combatoccurs, he doesn't describe the fight directly, but shifts the view tothe surrounding natural environment. The expression effect is achievedby the side contrasts. The common ground of the writing skills is thatthe repulsive things are not written, only exaggerates "the true, thegood and the beautiful things" in the novels, and all these make Sun Li'sworks brim with the idealistic color. There is obvious idealistic color in Sun Li's short novels duringthe Sino-Japanese War time. This kind of style is rare in thecontemporary history of literature. Camparing with Shen Congwen and ZhaoShuli's creation style, Sun li's unique style is clealy manifested. Inthe style inheritance, Liu Shaotang and Cong Weixi has both inherited SunLi's creation style. The idealitic color is also reflected in theirworks. The artistic value of Sun Li's novels can be explored through thosecamparison and inheritance.
