A nation and a country's historical viewpoint, has.a significant impact on its domestic and foreign policies, and the development of international relations. Among Japan, China and Korea, the three countries have a long history, additionally, Japan's aggression to China and Korean peninsula in modern times have made its understanding of history and the judging in today's development of international relations absolutely paramount. This thesis is based on ancient and middle ages history, combining with the development of international relations in ancient times of East Asian to analysis the irrational factors in Japan's perception of history and the profound impact on relations between Korea and Japan.This thesis is made up of five parts, and the essentials as follows:The first chapter is the preface which introduces the purpose of the study and its significance, the present situation of research and its feasibility and innovations.The second chapter is the analysis to the historical origin of the formation of Concepts of an Imperial Nation and the sprout of the relation between Korea and Japan. One of the notable features in Japan's history is the long-term existence of the Mikado. There is a long history of admiration and belief in Mikado and it is originated from the Gods belief which is an important component of Japanese traditional culture. In modern times, out of consideration for the war need, meiji Government had put the nationalism and militarism to the whole nation and the admiration for the Mikado to the culmination. Therefore, the Concepts of an Imperial Nation is not only the historical basis of aggression war launched by the Japan imperialism, but also the ideology foundation of the denial and beautification to the aggression war. This chapter analyzes the fundamental reason for the formation of worship to the Japanese Mikado and the Concepts of an Imperial Nation and the resulting emperorship on the superiority of the Japanese nation in Japan's aggression and expansion abroad, which had played the guiding role.The third Chapter focuses on Japan's absorption and application to Pan Sinica concept. China-centered "Pan Sinica order" dominates the ancient East Asian international relations. In the beginning, the Japan in "Pan Sinica" system depended on and followed China. But with the development of the country, Japan began actively to seek the equal status with China and the sense of Japan-centered "Mini Empire" and the "Japanese model Pan Sinica concept" came out. And at the same time, Japan began to deal with the relationship with the Korean peninsula, the Pohai Sea and Ryukyu neighboring countries. This chapter focuses on Japan's attitude toward ancient East Asian which he keeps it at arm's length, as well as under the guidance of this ideology the association between Japan and East Asian countries and the influence to the relation between Japan and Korea.The forth Chapter is the exteosion of ancient history outlook of Japan and external expansion theory. Eras of Shogunate and Meiji. In its recent completion of the modernization process, Japan also created a national expansionist idea, and took the mainland policy as the core to start the Korean Peninsula and China's aggression. In order to rationalize the policy of aggression, some Japanese ideologists, politicians and scholars have offered various aggression doctrines against Korea and China. "Manseonsagwan", "Conquering Korea Theory" and "civilized history" have all become its ideological roots of aggression and expansion, which theoretically promotes Japan's aggression. This chapter analyzes these theories and dig out its historical root, and discourses the new Japanese nationalist ideology emerged at the end of the last century and the effect to the Japan- North Korea relation which is caused by the history textbook issue.The fifth chapter is the conclusion. It mainly summarizes the cognition of Japanese history, and the impact on the Korea-Japan relations by this cognition.
