The period from fifteenth century to seventeenth century is the prime phrase when the Britain was transited from medieval times to modem society, which was an ascending period between the two Economical Depressions. During this period, there is an obvious and profound change in the various hierarchies in Britain such as co-existence of disaggregation and establishment of society and the exchange of change and adaptation of society. As a consequence, a new hierarchy was born at this time. The author, based on the previous researches, manages to objectively review a new hierarchy——Yeoman. There are four parts in this paper; the first part introduces the general research situations of the Yeoman Hierarchy, particularly paying attention to the theoretical researches put forward by the Chinese history scholars and the foreign ones. On the basis of these researches, this part defines the research scope by means of further analyses. And the second part expounds the definition, upsurge and evolution of the Yeoman Hierarchy, accurately defining the its composition and evolving process. And the third part analyses the economic position of the Yeoman Hierarchy, and shedding special light on its activitiesin the process of Movement of Enclosures and lands transaction as well as its economic revolution trigged. Finally, the forth part discusses the social position of the Yeoman Hierarchy who figure down the local situation, being responsible for regional administration and coordinating a variety of discrepancies, which effectively flatten out the fluctuation in the process of social transformation. At the same time, the Britain, due to these aspects, wined a fame named as Local Self-governing region. The author thinks that the historical evolution ascribes to the effect of various factors. The economic structure is complementary to the social structure; moreover, the middle class manipulate the mainstream. In China, because of the fact the social structure of despotism as well as the nepotistic system inhibits personal development, and the increasingly social fortunes could not change the poverty of peasants, and the decrease of the middle class aggravates the relation between the rich and the poor, the laws and systems are served the governors, and the disadvantageous fortune accumulation because there are no privileges or a little in the hands of peasants, all of these gives rise to a vicious cycle. The analysis of Yeoman Hierarchy indicates that to develop a ripe and rational middle class could guarantee a hierarchy balance, which is of importance to modernization of China.
