The Educational Plight Of The Keyboard Era Writing And Teaching

Chinese character and its writing art, the cultural treasure of the Chinese people, symplify the extensive and profound Chinese cultrue. Writhing education, which has a long history and the fine tradition, is an important way to inherit and pass on the traditional culture, and a key method to cultivate one's comprehensive quality. However, with the development of science and technology and the advent of the keyboard age, people come to ignore writing, and students'writing conditions and people's attitude to writing directly inflect the embarrasing situation faced by the present writing education. This will not only result in a skill dying, but more important is shortage of herits to the traditional culture. Therefore, at the keyboard age, we should enhance the writing education instead of ignoring it. In order to find a way or method to the writing education's existance and development, based on the reasonsfor its dilemma, the author reflects on how it gets out of the dilemma and try to research it , according to the teaching practice.The thesis develops in three parts by using documents, researching and interviewing.The first part deals with the writing education difficulty at the keyboard age to conclude that the recognized crisis for chinese character writing eduaction, the influence of science on the writing skill and its weak position in the foundmental education are the reasons for the writing education dilemma. The first part also covers that the global background causes the writing crisis, new media technology weakens the traditional aesthetic culture, and that the wide use if computers makes the weakness of the writing skill objectively. In reality, strong position of the examination-oriented education causes the students'burden heavier and heavier, but the writing education less and less important, and even it exists in name only.The second part, according to the inspection on the ancient writing education history, from the viewpoint of imparting traditional culture and promoting one's whole development, states the practical significance and the values of the writing education. The author thinks the writing education is an important means of imparting traditional culture and protecting national culture security, so it is very significant for students'morals, intelegence, aesthetic sentiments, and so on.In the third part, the author advances views on how the writing education gets out of its dilemma and makes further explorations. The author thinks that heightening one's awareness of the writing education, improving teachers'writing level and ensuring the position of writing training in schools are the basis and gurantee for the writing education. Tirstly, schools should play a main role ---enhance teachers and students'awareness. Educational management departments should establish the due position of the writing education and guide schools of all levels to offer a cource in it; secondly, cultivate an advanced professional staff and offer teaching training based in the teachers'colleges. At last, ensure the writing education's position in schools—offer its enough class hours, standardize teaching materials and improve its cultural taste. Renewing teaching concepts, emphasizing the writing teaching's practical results, consolidating its position are the keys for the writing education.The author makes possitive exploration and concrete analysis from the following five aspects: establishing'Dialogue, Communicative, Intercourse'teaching concepts; constructing'Self-direction, Cooperation, Inquiry'teaching methods; imparting teaching evaluation pattern—emphasize quality evaluation, self-evaluation to build students'self-confidence; paying more attention to cultivating their feeling, attitude and values to let them writing with a happy and careful attitude; enriching and taking various teaching measures to improve the writing education's results.
