Female Religious Identity

In the origion and development history of religion, women always are positive supporters , reverent belivers and impetus. The article selects female Christians and Buddhists in the city of Zhengzhou as research objects, descripts the establishment process of the female religious identification using methods of sociology and science of religion, and expounds the dual function of the famale religious identification to women themselves and the modern society. The study will provide references to the institutions that play attention to female faith as well as for the relationship between women and religion.The article includes five parts.The introduction is composed by five parts: the origination and significance of the female religious identification; research achievements and present situation of the religious identification; limit of the crucial concept; heuristic theory suppositions; investigation methods, places and objects.The first part investigates the construction and maintainance of the female religious identification and points out that the construction and maintaining is various, but they are all the courses from the initiation of consciousness to the establishment of faith.The second part investigates the facing of the female religious identification and points out that the identification of the facing are different between different groups of women, but the identification of them are all very strong.The third part investigates the effects to women of the religious identification, and points out that the religious identification of women is not only the status ownership, but also the spiritual ownership, and the identification has a deep influence in their daily lives and personalities.The fourth part analyses differences of the religious identification between different faiths, difference ages female religious and between female and male religious, and points out that the religious identification is a cource from internal to external, God mark, faith and benefit maximization are the most important factors in the female religious identification and the identification then effects deeply on their daily lives and personalities of women.
