| BaiXi, which is also called"YueWuBaiXi"in Han Dynasty, is a general term of multi-types of art and entertainment developed from folk music and feat in ancient China. Relative Information and records from ancient literature and electronical searches are sorted out. From these, the knowledge about BaiXi in Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao is clarified into four aspects such as classified researches, performance location and management organization, conformation analysis, value and significance.The classification of BaiXi in Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao is discussed in Chapter One. Based on the sorts of all kinds of BaiXi and combined with art practices in Han and Tang Dynasties, eight main types of BaiXi could be divided into. In the mean time, the knowledge of the two new kinds of BaiXi in Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao,magic and acrobatics are introduced. Moreover, the evident fact that performance types of singing and dancing Drama first appear in this period is also pointed out in this chapter.Chapter two carries out the research of the management organization and performance location of BaiXi in Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao. While the organization of BaiXi in Han Dynasty was mainly in YueFu, it was replaced by TaiChangShi in the following Dynasties as Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao and Han,Tang Dynasties. Another effort made in this chapter is the analysis of the society in Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao by the way of investigation of performance of BaiXi in performance locations which are mostly located in the palaces and the fanes.The problem of the conformation analysis is explained in Chapter Three. This research is conducted out from three aspects like the elements of the music, dancing forms and drama forms.The value and significance of BaiXi in Wei,Jin,Nan-Bei Chao is discussed in Chapter Four from three ways. The reason of its prosperity and its historical role are emphasized while the far-reaching influence upon the development of Chinese Drama is also analyzed. |
