The anstocratic families were a special class in medieval china. Its changes made deep impacts on the development of the political history and social history of this period. Thus the research on them are worth considering for the researchers about the medieval china. As the separations and unions in the period, the anstocratic families separated into three parts, according to the location----the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong, the ones in the area of Shandong and the one in the area of Guanzhong, each of which had its own feature. They had different social and political positions during the Sui and Tang dynasties.The anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong were a combination of two big branches separately named Qiao and Wu. Since Yongjia Emperor moved to the south and established a new government, the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong had been considered to be the original one , whose traditional culture was better preserved. But during the Nanchao Dynasty. the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong was reduced due to the power of the emperor regained and the rebellions inside the ruling groups, especially the Houjing Rebellion and the Jiangling Rebellion. After the reunion by Sui Dynasty, the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong lost power in politics, thus they were in embarrassment. However, during the hundreds of years history of Sui and Tang Dynasties, they managed to live and develop. How did they do this and what's the relationship between them and the regime are the emphasis of this paper.This paper studies from individual cases to generality, and reappears how the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong developed and their interactive relationship with the politics. This paper is divided into four parts.Part one, present the concept of anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong and make a conclusion to the development of anstocratic families before Sui and Tang Dynasties. In this part, the paper will also put emphasis on the features of anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong that differed from others'. It's the social and cultural uniqueness that made their own development trace.Part two, taking Clan Yu in Kuaiji as an example, discuss how anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong went into politics in Sui Dynasty and the beginning of Tang Dynasty. Policy rooted on Guanlong area is the typical feature of this period. The anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong went into politics with it as the most important background. This part begins with the political status and cultural tradition of anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong, studying how Clan Yu in Kuaiji went into politics to appear the ups and downs of the families in Sui Dynasty and the beginning of Tang Dynasty.Part three, through studying how Clan Lu in wuju went into politics, mainly discuss by diagrams and base on data analysis and synthesis, this part puts emphasis on how the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong went into politics in later part of Tang Dynasty. This part will discuss it from the following three aspects. First, review the family tree of Clan Lu in wuju before Tang Dynasty; second, study the details of Clan Lu in wuju political activities in Tang Dynasty, which is the main part of the three. Through the analysis and synthesis of Dantu, Taiwei and Shilang, we can find the anstocratic families in the area of Jiangdong adapted faster than the anstocratic families in the area of Shandong to the new political system, and got used to imperial emaminations earlier; third, by studying how Clan lu in Wujun became prosperous again in later Tang Dynasty, present a common point in decadence. While a short-time prosperity sacrifices its dependence.Part four, during the later part of Tang Dynasty, The anstocratic families became prosperous and they died out gradually. This paper will discuss the relationship between them, which is actually a research into the reason for why they died out in this period.
