The subject this dissertation studies are works and paper which focus on Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu Dai Shi. This dissertation consists of five parts altogether:The first part is an introduction which mainly make an introduction to the goal, the scope and the method which the dissertation studies.The second part is the outline of Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu Dai Shi which discusses two books' circulation, content, styles, spreads and the historical data value and so on some important questions.The third part is a brief study history of Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu DaiShi, In this part, from macro-acadamic-historical angle, the historical period of studying is divided into Song Dynasty ,Qing Dynasty and Modern times three stages. The goal lies in promulgating the rule of study from the vertical aspect.The fourth part is the comment on works that studies Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu Dai Shi, which constitutes the main body of this dissertation together with the third part. This part are divided into three topics according to the different style of works: the first topic is the comment on the supplement works of Wu Dai Shi Yi Wen Zhi;The second topic is the characteristic and the achievement of the textual critic works to Xin Wu Dai Shi; The third topic is the comparison between Jiu Wu Dai Shi edited in Qing Dynasty and Jiu Wu DaiShi Xin Ji Hui Zheng.The fifth part is a conclusion. Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu Dai Shi are important when we study history and culture of Wu Dynasty. But because of the different characteristics between Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu Dai Shi and the massive mistakes exist in two books, we should pay attention to works and paper that study Xin Wu Dai Shi and Jiu Wu Dai Shi.
