Analysis Of The Chinese Film Industry, The Road

This thesis gives a systematic analysis on the development of Chinese movie in recent years. Since 2003, when China begins her own movie industrialization consciously, by 2005 China has made a great progress—the framework of industrialization displayed the early form. The industrialization of Chinese movie is heated topic from the top to the bottom of the society. If you look up through former references, there is a strong demand for the industrialization of movies. Some papers on some aspect of movie industrialization can also be seen. But papers systematically treat the development of Chinese movie in recent years are still rare. By comparison with the classic movie industrialization model—Hollywood model, this thesis gives a description on a few important parts of Chinese movie industrialization. This aims to show the achievement of Chinese movie industrialization, see more clearly the weakness and find the way for Chinese movie industrialization.This thesis can be divided into four parts:Firstly, we give the background in which Chinese movie went on the road of industrialization. It is inferred that the domestic and overseas environments together force Chinese movie fall into this road. Then we will give the definition of movie industrialization. Movie industrialization is more desirable for economic, cultural and political reasons. So we should try to reform by learning from the Hollywood model and get prepared for the industrialization of movie. In addition, we should be aware that the premise of movie industrialization is the entertainment nature of movies.Chapter 2 will give an introduction of the current state of Chinese movie from production, release and show of movies as well as the laying down of instructive policies. We also give some analytical suggestions and solutions to the problems.Chapter 3 will take home-made movie the promise as an example and give some analysis from the perspective of industrialization of movies. The achievement as well as weakness of home-made movies will be summarizes. We also give an additional explanation of a few elements in movie industrialization not mentioned in Chapter 2.Finally, we give a summarization of the crisis of industrialization of Chinese movies and send our best wishes for the future development of Chinese movies.
