"a Dream Of Red Mansions" Quantifier Study

A Dream of Red Mansion is one of the most valueable literature for the study of Chinese lexicon and grammar in Early Qing Dynasty. This article treats of all the Chinese classifiers in " A Dream of Red Mansion" and gives unlimited description to each group of article classifier, also with a discussion on the relation between the article clssifier and its rhetoric. On basis of that, it compares the article classifier system in the "A Dream of Red Mansion" with that of the contemporary sinological period and that of modern Chinese. In the end, it recaps the general characteristic of the article classifier system in "A Dream of Red Mansion" and demonstrates the rationality that the novel "A Dream of Red Mansion" belongs to the contemporary sinologic period.
