Seventeen and Eighteen century is the famous period of "Zheng-Nguyen confrontation" in Vietnamese history. To strengthen its own power and resist the North Zheng, the King Nguyen developed actively the trade with China. It made Cochin-china becoming an important regional trade center and trade medium of Southeast Asian region.In the trade with China, the Chinese businessmen played a positive, active and important role and assumed the main trade lot with China. Meanwhile, the trade with China which shared by the Chinese maritime businessmen mainly has become an integral part of the network of overseas Chinese businessman in West Pacific region. As a regional trade intermediary, the prosperity of Cochin-china regional trade promoted unconsciously the development of the entire Asian trade network.By clearing up all the historical material, I tryed to clarify the basic clew of the trade relations between the King Nguyen and China, and to analyse and discuss the role of Chinese businessman in the trade with China, and the significance of the trade relations with China for the development of Nguyen regime, and the relations with the Asian trade network.
