Zhang Wentian Cultural Thinking

Zhang Wentian was a great Marxian, proletarian revolutionist and theorist in history. After the movement on May 4^th, 1919, he was given the honor of "the Soldier of New Culture Movement" and "the young litterateur". He contributed his whole life to establish advanced culture positively. As an important leader of Chinese Communist Party, he had been in charge of the Party's cultural propaganda work for a long time. Although there were some mistakes in the developing process of his idea, he realized the risk of the mistake and changed them to the correct path gradually in the revolutionary practice process, and also had positive effect for the Party's cultural work and new democracy cultural reconstruction. In recent years, the main research for Zhang Wentian is concentrate on his economic thought, united front thought; however, it has weakness on cultural thought research. The objective of the case is through inspecting Zhang Wentian's campaign of cultural practice in his life to analyze his cultural thought which from developing processing until consummation in revolutionary process. Based on the analysis of Zhang Wentian's culture thought so as to explore how the thought has revelatory significance for building of advanced culture with Chinese characteristics. This case divides into five parts: The first part briefly introduced the formation of Zhang Wentian's thought depends on the time background and the personal experience. The second part expatiate the main content about Zhang Wentian's culture practice. The third part expatiate the cultural thought in detailed commentary. The fourth part briefly compared the similarities and differences about culture thought between Zhang Wentian and the Mao Zedong. And the last part elaborated the Zhang Wentian culture thought's revelatory significance for building of culture with Chinese characteristic.
