| The dissertation elaborates both the positive and negative effects the conquest of Mongolian Empire had on the Arabian World. Not only did the Mongols destroy the original system of the Arabian World and heavily strike the Arabian ancient civilization; they also brought new concepts and advanced thoughts to the Arabian World, which, to some extent, triggered the emergence of Arabian modern civilization. Meantime, Arabian civilization survived in the tough environment, and gained new development and progress. Sino-Arabian exchanges in that period became flourishing, for the impact of Mongols, in a certain sense, eliminated the obstacles of the communication between countries. Therefore, wars not only give rise to the conflicts of civilization, but also bring about the compromise and blending of civilization. However, such conflicts are temporary, because communication and development are the ultimate themes. |
