| During the 1970s, three Chinese Guqin-based piano transcriptions, which were Li Yinghai's "Three Variations on the Yangguan Theme" , Wang Jianzhong's "Three Variations on the Plum Blossom Theme" and Chen Peixun's "Flowering Water" respectively, were produced in the area of the creation of Chinese piano music.The introduction part discusses the motivation of the of the thesis ; the first chapter explores and analyzes the musical scores from which these three transcriptions were used; the second and third chapters, as the body of the thesis, analyze the creative approaches of each piano work, the chapter two tries to explore by which creative means the music features of Chinese Guqin were inherited in piano music when the timbre, harmony .pattern and structure are concerned, while the third chapter studies by which creative means the three works were innovated in order to form the piano masterpieces with clear-cut folk features in the way of analyzing the speed, time, strength, harmony, pattern and pedal; the fourth chapter makes an evaluation on the aesthetic orientation of each work from two aspects: melodic line, breath resonance and artistic conception. |
