Metacognition includes goal setting, monitoring, self-assessing, and regulating during cognitive processes. It can be defined in the simplest terms as thinking about thinking. Metacognition plays a critical role in successful learning.The paper is divided into three parts. The first part describes the conception of Metacognition. The second part combines with piano learning and Metacognition theory. This part also discusses the importance of put Metacognition to piano learning. The third part brings forward "METACOGNITION TRAINING PROJECT of PIANO LEARNING" for teacher and parents, and having this training project application in two students. Summarize and analyze the application.
