Chuangzi and Maslom are thinkers who lived in different periods. But there are so much similarity in their thoughts both with the deep concern of human beings and human survival. The ideal personality is the refinement of Chuangzi and Maslom life philosophy. The ideal personality of Chuangzi is a series of fantastic images, and Maslom's ideal personality is the person of self-actualization . There is obvious difference between the ways of becoming ideal personality of Chuangzi and Maslom because of their different living background. By reason of their thoughts both are criticism to battles and human civilizations, so the two ideal personalities have lots of similarity.The only way becoming ideal personality of Chuangzi is pursuing of Tao. Self-actualization needs Being-values that are based on satisfaction of basic needs. Different ways point out different views to materials and desire between Chuangzi and Maslom. The process of catching Tao and Being-values is gradual and endless. The former is perfect but the latter is not. Related to this ,the ideal personality of Chuangzi is persfect but the person of self-actualization is not. The view of realization of human ultimate values of Chuangzi is more profound than Maslom's.The ideal personalities of Chuangzi and Maslom both have aesthetic characteristics. They cherish life, kind humanity, survival freedom and ultimate values of life. Their livings are aesthetic. Although there still are antinomies and objections in ideal personalities of Chuangzi and Maslom, but they stands for the general spirit characteristics and value hankers of human beings. So, the ideal personalities of Chuangzi and Maslom have permanent charming and siganificance.
