Two Different Humanity Of The World

Shen Congwen is a typical and special writer in Chinese modern literature history. Especially, Shen Congwen wrote novels like a poet, and this style has become his main achievements and represented his writing style .In Shen's novels, people living around Yuan Shui delta, showed us their simple life as farmer. Through Shen Congwen's novels, we can feel the essence of human kind, we can see the difference between culture and ferocity. It is just because of these, we call this phenomenon "the world of Western Hunan". On the other side, Shen's novels are also satine aiming at illed citizen culture, and we call it "city world", mainly exposured the distortion of citizen's nature, the ruin and deceit of life.In the novels about "the world of Western Hunan", the minority men from Western Hunan are of brave, loyalty and simplicity, it was they who promoted the development of Western Hunan,changed Western Huann. On the contrary, in the novels about "the city world",Shen descripted some deformations of citizens. In Shen's novels, the citizens were man.Because of the important role of man in Shen Congwen's novels, my article will analyse "the image of man" in Shen's novels. I expect to research the backround, type and trait of "the image of man", and hope to learn Shen's living attitude, even his attitude to life, society, history, reality and future.
