Sherwood Anderson , an important American writer who lived from the end of 19th century to the beginning of 20th century. He composed Winesburg Ohio whose theme is the secret desire. In this novel Anderson not only limits the desire for libido but also interprets it with psychological and sociological meanings. The paper is divided into three parts to elaborate:The first part, elaborate two kinds of the secret desire. It consists of sexual passion and material desire.
