Reward, Goal Orientation And Material Properties On The Fok Judgment In Rats

The process, which one's meta-level gets internal information and external information, and then according to these information evaluates it's memorizing, is called meta-memory monitoring. The result of meta-memory monitoring directly works on meta-memory control and memory score. FOK judgment is the most typical and most important style of meta-memory monitoring, so what influence FOK judgment appealed many educational psychologists.Reward is an important measure to initiate motivation in education, and is of information value for it provides one with the information about behavior. Different reward rules mean different information. Achievement goal orientation is one's knowledge of the reason and the goal for behavior, and different achievement goal orientations lead to different cognition, feeling and motivation. Based on the stated, the reward and the achievement goal orientation which are working on memorizing may influence the judgment from meta-level, and the judgment may also be different when facing different material types.Therefore, by 2x3x2 mix design this experiment aimed to discover the influence from reward rule, achievement goal orientation and material type.The results showed that:(1)Reward rule had prominent influence on meta-memory monitoring: the subjects under internal reward got higher FOK judgment ranks than those under external reward.(2)Achievement goal orientation had prominent influence on meta-memory monitoring: the subjects with mastery goal orientation got higher FOK judgment ranks than those with performance-approach goal orientation;the subjects with performance-approach goal orientation got higher FOK judgment ranks than those with performance-avoidance goal orientation.(3)Reward rule and achievement goal orientation had interactive influence on FOK judgment: when under internal reward ,the subjects with mastery goalorientation got higher ranks than those with two other goal orientations ,and the subjects with performance-approach goal orientation got higher ranks than those with performance-avoidance orientation;when under external reward ,there were no prominent differences between the subjects with mastery goal orientation and those with performance-approach orientation, but the ranks these two kinds of subjects got were higher than the subjects with performance-avoidance goal orientation, on mastery goal orientation level, the subjects under internal reward got higher ranks than those under external reward;on both performance-approach goal orientation level and performance-avoidance goal orientation level ,there were no prominent differences between the subjects under internal reward and those under external reward.(4)The material types had prominent influence on FOK judgment: when facing the meaningful materials the subjects got higher FOK judgment ranks than when facing the meaningless materials.(5)Reward rule had influence on FOK judgment rank via achievement goal orientation.
