Durkheim's Moral Education Theory And Its Contemporary Value

Emile Durkheim(1858-1917) is a famous sociologist and educationist of France in the turn of 19th—20th century . During his time, France was undergoing the time from traditional agricultural society to modern industrial society. He explored the reason of moral crisis, which turned up in the transitional period in France and proposed a systematic solution of replacing religion with secular morality, which announce the direction of and provide theoretical basis for modern moral education development.
