In this paper, I regard language as research object, through reading a large number of avant-garde novels. The paper focuses on making system and overall analyses to language of avant-garde novel. On the base, the thesis narrate effort to changes of novel text that avant-garde novelist apply to novel writing text and discuss language characteristics of avant-garde.The paper consists of four parts. The first chapter summarized and pointed out that avant-garde novelist began to cast sight on language of novel. The language is increased to the noumenon position of literature gradually. The second chapter is the key point of the paper. It mainly expounds the language characteristics of avant-garde novel. The first is change on language form. The novelist operate the factor of language such as word, sentence, punctuation mark, word order and so on, realist betray to tradition to most limit. The second is separate between signifier and signified. In avant-garde novel, signifier often expanded limitlessly while signified disappeared. This kind of phenomenon has caused the real escape of the meaning. The third is a feeling of language. The language of avant-garde novel walked with feeling cut off connection with realistic and make novel become individual writing. The fourth is use of meta-language. It dispelled the line between demarcation and true. Thesecharacteristics are all overthrow and mock to tradition.
