Thailand's Modernization Process And Resulting Theoretical Thinking

Thailand is a nation whose history is long and nature resource is plenty, is one of earlier modernization beginning nations since modern age , becomes the fresh and clear character in oneself in over a long period of time of development, comes out a characteristic modernization development road that is different from other under-development nations ,was been called as the " the mode of Thailand" by people. The Chinese and Foreign scholars proceeded the research to the modernization of Thailand from the different angle, different level, obtain the plenteous result, but no one generalize the development progress of Thailand from the whole with the summary. This thesis attempts to have a breakthrough on the base of the fore research studies, applies the basic principle of the Marx's historical materialism to hackle the modernization of Thailand from the inevitability regulation in cause and effect from the macro view, displaying a hundred year modernization main achievement and shortages of Thailand by the clue of productivity ,announce to public the law of its development, in order to make our country draw lessons from it in the modern development progress.At first ,the article discusses reasons and motive of choosing the Thailand's modernization as a thesis, and points out that importance and inevitability of the basic principle of the history materialism in studying the Thailand modernization .From chapter 2 to chapter 5 is a core of the thesis .It announces to public the variety of the labour rate of production is a basic reason that Thailand modernize the development rate of speed and analyses Thailand's nature endowment ,history background and the marking of Thailand's modernization beginning — Chulalongkorn 's modernization reform by describing more than 100 years Thailand's modernization .pointing out that Thailand walked on the road of oneself characteristics at the beginning. Later on, the article respectively discusses the 60's of 20 century in front and back different characteristics of Thailand modernization ,researches the basic cause of Thailand's modernization slow-moving before 60's and the basic cause of Thailand's modernization that suddenly accelerated after 60's, and points out the crisis of Thailand modernization pushing forward at the high speed , ultimately causing the financial crisis of Thailand and making the modern progress of Thailand suffer the grave frustrate. Immediately the article discusses the political and economic situation of Thailand after the financial crisis and expects the future development trend of Thailand modernization .The conclusion part of this article theoretically generalises wrong and right in the course of Thailand modernization course.
