On Kant Art Of The Theoretical Construction

Immanuel Kant, great German philosopher, founder of classical German aesthetics, serves as link between past and future in the develop meat of aesthetics in modern western world.The Critique of Judgment, his masterpiece dealing with aesthetics and art theory, has exerted far-reaching influence on the history of western aesthetics and art theory.Two reasons contribute to the significant place of the book in the history of aesthetics and art theory. Firstly, it is the first dialectical summation of aesthetics and art theory form ancient Greek. Secondly, the beautiful (art) is promoted to the same height with the true and the good, for the first time and the independence of the beautiful and art form then on, is clearcutly presented.Based on the above-mentioned reasons, this paper makes a re-judgment of Kant's art theory and gives a detailed analysis while taking philosophical frame into account. The body part falls into three chapters:The first chapter tracing back to the theoretical necessing of Kant's art theory, is mainly of two parts: the influence Greek, modern philosophical aesthetics upon Kant; the positions of the beautiful and art in two critiques.The second chapter analyzes the theoretical thread of the derailed expression of Kant's art theory, perennially discussing art and imagination and aesthetical image.The last chapter observes the influence of Kant's art theory upon classical Gamin philosophical aesthetics, Through the analysis we may see in a clear logical way the development thread among them.
