Towards Clear: Wang Yangming Ethical Thought

Wang Yangming was a mature statesman in the mind-philosophy thoughts trend of Song Ming neo-Confucianism, one of the greatest influential ideologist in Chinese traditional ideology history too. Wang Yangming's philosophy regarded Zhu Xi neo-Confucianism as starting point to thought to transport. In middle period of Ming Dynasty, Zhu Zi School of thought as an official philosophy had been ossified and inane day by day, and lost the theory life. At the same time, the drawback of isolating rational noumenon from perceptual existing, confronting justice principle with the mind as two opposite poles had appeared gradually too. It caused the disconnection between knowing and doing, false humility in moral practice. Revolving closely around the theme of cultivating moral character of personality, Wang Yangming launched theory dial and translated Zhu Zi' theory instead to learn firmly. Accordingly, his philosophy of the mind contain the direction of moral ethics. This paper analysis those topics in three layers: ontology , theory of time and theory of realm explain. At ontology, Wang YangMing permeate justice with good intimate body, justice noumenon and moral character subject to put together to take a photograph of to charge, have affirmed intuitive knowledge includes such perceptual factors as the emotion ,etc; On the theory in time, Wang Yangming transformed the theory of studying the phenomena of nature in order to acquire knowledge, regarded the rediscovery of perfect knowledge as a method of self-cultivation for training of moral character, and interpreted it as a course of turning intuitive knowledge into virtue and turning virtue into moral practice, which relating to the debate about knowing and acting, original state and self-efforts in logic; On the realm theory, it point to an own and contented individual moral character realm at first, regard an organic whole of everything of loving all people and animals as the final aim, form and contain the world of taking the photograph in my clear and bright border of people. Wang Yangming's philosophy of the mind regard intuitive knowledge as moral agents, regard the rediscovery of perfect knowledge as a method of self-cultivation, regard benevolence that everything is integrative as realm aim, prominent moral character conscientious with the subject personality, pay close attention to whole harmonious of people and people , people and society , people and natural .The theory reflect real spirit of the traditional Confucian ethics, have abundant moral ethics connotation , have meaning of enlightening to the constructing of modern social ethics and the morals life of contemporary people very much.
