Franz Liszt was prominent in the European music life in 19th century. Being pianist, Liszt and Chopin are called "Double Jade" of piano performance in 19th century. Liszt's talented skill and his arrogant character conquered the whole world. What's more, Liszt achieved great success in the fields of music composing, music conducting and music comments. Liszt is also the outstanding representative of Hungarian music in 19th century, his works are closely related to Hungarian folk music. 19 pieces of Hungarian rhapsody were his patriotic melodies with a distinctive folk music color. This paper has Liszt's No.11 Hungarian Rhapsody as its study object and makes detail analysis to this work from Liszt's life experience, artistic style and the background of this music with the hope to have a thorough understanding as well as a better appreciation to this work.
