Based on literature summary and interview with teachers and students,a Life Events Scale (LES) which is from Uniformed Services University ofthe Health Sciences and a series of related scales with high reliabilityand validity has been used to explore the characteristics of 1690 studentsof 10 middle schools, and we study the relationships of stress response ,social support and coping style. The results indicate: (1) The studentsface mainly stressors from family factors, study factors and socialrelations. And study factors have mainly influenced the mental health ofthe students. (2) Depression, obsessive-compulsive, interpersonalsensitivity, somatization and anxiety are the main stress response of thestudents. (3) Subjective social support, solution and seeking help arethe main psychological stress mediators. (4) Stressor, social support andcoping style have mutual effections on the mental health of the students.(5) Psychological interventions and counseling have reduced the level ofthe stress response of the students and have significant effections onthe coping style and the mental health of the students. |
