From the beginning as an individual film producer to later entering USA film circle, he conquers the world with his personalized film. Under the globe multi-language background, he goes all out to seek the balance point between Chinese culture and western culture, art and business, tradition and modernity, and has successfully positioned himself in the world film circle. Although he is at Hollywood, he keeps between mainstream and non-mainstream, and has his own ideas.Ang lee' s films are international products combined with Chinese and western factors. In addition to the international appearance, his traditional thoughts can be tasted from different aspects of his films. This paper tries to analyse Ang lee' s expressions of traditional culture from three aspects: manuscript, narration and production.Ang lee puts his traditional ideas into the stories, and successfully integrates Chinese and western cultures in his films.
