In order to transform the art language of figures in chinese ink paintings, we have to break free form the traditional ideas, deriving nourishment form foreign art, reform and develop our own art language so as to make it full of vigor. It is necessary that we should draw on the experience of Western art to enrich our art language. Talking of transformation of art, that doesn't imply we deny the values of Chinese traditional art language, for nobody doubts our brilliant traditional Chinese painting or its standing in history.What we must be faced with is how we, to develop Chinese traditional art, bring forth new ideas in art and continue to write our history of painting. In addition, transformation itself is based on tradition, which is not negative extension of tradition but active development. Tradition looks like a train of different historical periods, art creation compared to its many a ring, on which art history is bound to continue. So it is of vital mportance to sum up tradition for the purpose of developing modern art through making full use of rules of Chinese ink and wash.. This article is intended to take LiBo-ans art creation for example to link theory with practice, through analyzing his art works to explain our views about characteristics of his figures in ink painting in hope of throwing light on his novel way of art expression and its transformation process.In brief, combination of tradition and new trails are the foundation of both Chinese and Western art. Only thus can we stand proudly in family of art.The creative result of this article is-----1.to classify the languages of ink and wash2. to express ideas presented in a clear and logical way3. to search for a new way of ink and wash in modern times...
