Yanyuan Lun Thought And Practice

Yan Yuan is a famous Confucian , philosopher and thinker in early Qing dynasty . He who lived in the North of China is the pioneer of YanLi school. He criticize the Song Neo-Confucian in arms of the thoughts of the earliest thinker such as Yao, Shun, Kong, Meng. YanYuan emphasized that learning should be in combination with practice . The Confucianism held that regulating the family was first step in administering the state, so the family ethics became the most important part in all ethics. The ethical relations are always concerned by many scholars .This text wil discourse from several aspects as follows:1. Yan Yuan' s all life demonstrates his thoughts respecting action and the practical characteristics;2. because every issue has its origin in history, I try to look for the the ethical trace.3. the part provides theory basis for YanYuan' s ethics including GeWuZhiZhi thoughts which is an important part in Confucian theories, the ideas about the heart which is only mental area and the view on benefit;4. the main ethics in family have two side, the horizontal relation is that of husband and wife;the vertical relation is that of father and son .this text primarily analyses of the ethics system from gender perpective. from the horizontal ethical relations, we can find the relation of husband and wife is to keep the love and equality each other from words, however, the life pracice of Yan Yuan displays the other relation which is in the center of husband . on the other hand , the vertical ethical relations shows the complicated varieties of gender and history including the complicacy of the adopted son with the adoptive parents , the contrdiction of father and son (when a son finds his father make mistake, he should not only give him the advice but also keep back the mistake of his father . this havior is a conflict) and the different status of woman who can be a daughter, daughter梚n條aw, mother, mother梚n條aw and the remarried morther etc. which will have different performance.5. the development of the consolidated ethics always go hand in hand with the criticism of the so-called heresy. Yan yuan think that his own self is a Confucian who can administrat the society and country, so he drastically criticize the heresy such as the Buddist etc. Furthermore, this ensure Yan Yuan' s ethics to be true and also make Yan yuan' s ethics more clear, bright.
