| This article explores and analyzes the abundant ethic value which contained in the famous Taoist scholar Ge Hong's theory of regimen via researching and studying his representative work "Bao Pu Zi"Starting from the basis of the ontology, i.e. Tao begets all things, and the theory of the naturalistic human nature, i.e. the sincerity of human nature, a bridge which links the process of individual's regimen, with moral practice, the development of moral mind and behavior with individual's health of body and mind about which the public is generally concerned is built between morality and the daily practice of human ethic to guide people to do the good and restrain the evil, to overcome the defect of human nature, to perfect oneself, others and society by cultivation, conform to the moral life.The profound ethic concerns in the Taoist Cultivation ethic enlights us that we should regard cultivation as good behavior, threat life kindly and pay attention to scientific regimen, keep tranquil and harmonious state of body and mind, cultivate body through morality and foster morality via cultivating body, promote the quality of life and reveal the splendor of life while cherishing and prolonging the physical life. |
