Shanghai Li-ism Research

Lijiao studied in the thesis is typical case of history research on Shanghai civil religion and first attempt on regionalization study about it. Lijiao is a sort of civil religion that first entered into Shanghai and that had the longest history and extensive affect. The thesis has investigated Lijiao how to spread into Shanghai and pursued its evolution and declination. Then there is scientifical research on Liijiao's doctrine, etiquette, members, organization, religious and social novement. Taking note of Lijiao's social-political background, the thesis also ras probed its embarrassed political status and the essence of community edge rade. Ultimately comparing with Lijiao in Qing Dynasty and in other districts, his thesis infers Shanghai Lijiao's times earmark and region facture.
