The elementary teaching of piano is a very important part of the whole teaching in higher teachers institute. The aesthetic experience which the students gain by piano learning can progress their individual aesthetic development, thereby significantly affecting the work of elementary music education in their future. Therefore, the students' ability in aesthetic education and their own aesthetic makings should be consolidated. As a piano teacher, they should have a pointed cognition of the essence in elementary teaching of piano. Moreover they should build up the idea of aesthetic education, which penetrates the all parts in teaching. Consequently, the quality will be improved fundamentally.This paper emphasize the value of aesthetic education in the elementary teaching of piano in higher teachers institute. Basing on the frame of Curriculum and Teaching theory, it explicate the basic idea of making aesthetics as the core in the elementary teaching of piano in higher teachers institute, and it also present the principle and method of the curriculum execution. The paper is separated into five sections, the main idea of each part is as follows: the elementary curriculum of piano in higher teachers institute is the main professional curriculum which improve the students' aesthetic makings to fit for the basic music education in the future by teachingthem piano playing, and the instructional objective should embody the explicit idea of aesthetic education; the instrument's material advantage, the rich resource of piano arts, and the active aesthetic educational method of piano teaching show the aesthetic value of piano teaching; students' internal factor such as study motivation and attitude, individual difference, study transfer etc. have great effect on their aesthetic learning of piano; teachers should realize the aesthetic value by renewing the teaching concept, choosing the correct teaching content, adopting the proper teaching method; as for the students' evaluation, it's not only assessing the score of the students, but also a part in there study, and we should promote the students' better aesthetic development by renewing the evaluative idea, widening the evaluative content, and making the evaluative information richer.
