This thesis is utilized to analyze the Tai Wan woman writer Shi Shuqing'novels. According to her different styles of different periods, I want to make a thorough inquiry into the influence of different culture and environment on her. In Shi Shuqing's writings, we always find that there is something fluctuant and intense in her heart. She thought her hometown was lost forever after she had entered the big cities such as Tai Bei, New York and Hong Kong, so she always tried her best to look for the home of her soul. This thesis includes four chapters. Chapter One ,I follow her steps inher early works. We can see she often recalls her homeland Lu Gang--anold town in the West Tai Wan. In the late of 1970s, although Shi Shuqing had described the people and things happened in the cities, she disliked the noisy city and expected to go home again. In 1978,Shi Shuqing moved to Hong Kong with her husband and her daughter. Then she began to describe many men and women who lived in this big prosperous city, that formed the 11 pieces of "Hong Kong stories'. In the second chapter, I will put emphasis on the consumption society in the Shi Shuqing's stories and the narrow emotion space of the female images in the "Hong Kong stories'. Besides, Xu Huai, the leading role of 'The Victorian Club',reflects another aspect of the consumption society.Chapter Three, 'Three Volumes on Hong Kong' (novel in three volumes) imagine the history of Hong Kong. The leading female role, Huang Deyun is the symbol of the oriental colony. The complex psychological world between the colonist and the original people is showed in the three novels. Furthermore, narrating style is also very important. In the last chapter, the experience in Hong Kong makes her continue to describe the living condition of the post-colonist society in the big cities. The end of the 21st century and the city of Tai Bei becomes the most important object in the novel 'Wei Xun Cai Zhwng'. Finally, Shi Shuqing cannot find out her homeland--culture homeland.
