Illustrations Visual Era

The illustration art has been developed for a long period, through the process of carrying on and innovate the art tradition. In digital era, digital technology has been used in every field of society, and illustration has become a new vision element of modern spirit. To the young illustration artists, this is a very wide field, but it needs further development. It is the purpose and significance of this dissertation.The modem digital illustration is based on the digital visual technology, the core of which is "the features of digital vision"-that is, the visual affect different from any other visual art made by new technology. Digital illustration brought revolutionary impact to the world of illustration art. It announced the establishment of the "new graphic visual era". However, why did the modern digital illustration emerge? The digitalization of popular aesthetic perception is the social aesthetic basis; social need is the essential motivation of its existence and development; and it influences people's conception and judgment of illustration.The digital illustration has become a new art form and fashion. People love graphic art again. The multiplicity of modern media deduces illustration into colorful and various visual element. That is the basic statement of this dissertation.Modern digital illustration has the better ability to express art and has the visual features, such as multiplication, regulation, complication, and fictitious facts, and so on. Moreover, it relies on and is compatible with other relative categories of arts. The origin of illustration is to service for literature and now it has developed into an independent form of art, which can express people's spirit directly. So independence is the manifest progress of modern illustration.With the large market demand, many countries began paying great attention to education of illustration drawers. Modern illustration is a wide-spread form of art and it has great potential and bright future.This dissertation enumerates several most representative artists in this field. They are the pioneers of the era of illustration. In the last part of this dissertation, I show some very representative illustration in some different fields to let readers understand the visual features of this era and the bright colors of the illustration era.
