Peter I , named "the great person" by Friedrich Engels, was a pretigious star in Russian history. He launched famous reform that changed Russia enormously. The thesis focused on one part of taxation system.The writing purpose of this paper lies in analysing the reform of the taxation system and its reasons in the first 25 years of 18 century, studying the fundamental phases of the taxation system, inquiring upon the effects on Russian nation and society. The most important part of the thesis is to study the social sense of the reform, and mere research on the effects, which the reform brought to Russia.Except prologue and conclusion, the main text is composed of three part.First part, analyses the background of the taxation system reform, including the analysis of Russian social conditions, the history necessity that the taxation system should be abolished in 18th century, the breeding and substance of reform thought of peter' s taxation system reform.Second part, explore the intension and system, including population statistics and population census, the reform of taxation system, the punishing about escaping and the attempting that peter' s successors opposed the reform..Third part, explore the effect of peter' s reform of taxation system on the modern society, including the change of finance system and the comprehension effects on Russian society.There is cots of shortcomings in my paper, because my know ledge, information and time are limited. Please give me criticism.
