History is complex. Historical figures receive historical assignments, their social activities reflect the truth, so we should give a matter-of-fact evaluation upon them. Just as Lenin said: "Marxism requires that a problem should be criticized in a certain scope. Only by this somewhat improvements can be seen to made, which was superior to predecessors. "He also held that "judgments of feats originate from novel materials provided by historical activists." These principles are suited to appreciate Wu Zhihui. In the group of modern intellectuals, Wu has strong personalities and mind of wide scope which paid us a chance to look over his past experiences and study out the community to which Wu belonged from development to retrocession. For long, historical circles think little of Wu because of a variety of factors. The article puts Wu in the environment of modern democratic revolution from many angels, not simply from the theory of class struggle, and uses a number of facts appropriately to let people know him clearly.
