The History Of Hebei’s Work On Giving Special Comfort And Perferential Treatment In The 1950’s And 1960’s

The thesis observes and studies the history of Hebei's work on giving special comfort and perferential treatment in the 1950's and 1960's. The people in Hebei province paid huge sacrifice during revolutionary war period,so enormous families of servicemen and wounded armymen needed help after the P. R. C was established. Society and government waged many kinds of giving perferential treatment movements with political praise nature, which settled and gave perferential treatment to fanilies of serviceman and wounded armymen who had paid sacrifice and great contribution to people's benefit, to assure that their living standard was not below that of local people. Hebei's work was in the front rank in the whole country during this period, and formed regional characteristic. The march of giving special comfort and perferential treatment, closed the ties between army and government, people further, strengthened national defence, and procured the good common pratice of "one joining the services is a credit to the whole family" , "respecting families of servicemen and martyrs is everyone's duty" .The preface summarizes the study content, methods and condition on Hebei's giving special comfort and perferential treatment. The main body is devided into three parts:The first part:Hebei's giving perferetial treatment work carried out initially from 1949 to 1955. The work during this period had both achievements and drawbacks.The second part:Hebei's work on giving special comfort and perferential treatment continued to develop from 1956 to 1966, but the form had some new changes. The work of this phase achieved numerous fruits, and drived into the legal system-road.The third part:The features and social effect of Hebei's giving special comfort and perferetial treatment work in the 1950's and 1960's. The experiences and lessons of Hebei have some reference for establishing social security system of the time.
