Under the background of different language and culture, only a few Chinese American writers can enter the western mainstream society and get regards, but now the situation is being changed. Recently, several Chinese American female writers' works are best seller on the British and American publishing market, such as Maxine Hong Kingston The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood Among Ghosts, Amy Tan The Joy Luck Club, Jung Chang wild swans, and Adeline Yen Mah Falling Leaves : The True Story of an Unwanted Chinese Daughter. What's more, the movie THE JOY LUCK CLUB is adapted from Amy Tan's novel The Joy Luck Club, its influence on society is great. Why are on earth these Chinese American works welcomed by the western? And what special we can find from it? According to female writing and female autobiography, this thesis tries to analyze the reason and the focus that the five Chinese American female works are popular on the western market. The essay is made up of preface and four sections. In preface, the author find the meaning topic and question the interesting phenomenon and try to look for the reason. The first section, introducing simply the five best seller and their works' influence. The second section is the best sellers' analyse. The third section, the author according to feminism theory explains female writing and female autography. And the fourth section, from the market point, synthetically comment on the five female writers' works.
