Martin Heidegger is one of the greatest theorists of art in the 20th century. He criticized traditional metaphysic aesthetics and developed an ontologic poetics that produced great influence all over the world. The thesis mainly discusses the thought resource and main contents of his poetics, and its relation to German classic aesthetics, whereby we can reveal its essence. The first part generalizes Heidegger's fundamental thought and differs its earlier character from later one, which gives the theoretic basis to his poetics. The second part discusses several vital problems of Heidegger's poetics, which are the existence of the work of art, poetry and truth, the poets in destitute time. Then, we can scan wholly the main contents of his poetics and find the relation between every part of them.Based on the above two parts, the third part discusses Heidegger's critique on traditional metaphysic aesthetics, which discovered the latter's origin and essence, and drived it into crisis. The forth part sums up the characters of Heidegger's poetics, namely, ontological ness, openness and practical ness.At lass, in the fifth part, we illustrate specially the relation between Heidegger's poetics and German classic aesthetics. At first, we find out the similarity of them, then, discuss intensively Hegel's famous judgement: "the dying of art", and Heidegger's interpretation on it. From the above analysis, we find that Heidegger's poetics stemmed from German classic aesthetics, moreover, he gave it profound interpretation, summation and improvement.
