Nanzhao kingdom played the most significant role in the development of Yunnan history. It ever accomplished the unity in regional scale and ever established regional regimes in Yunnan . The unification promoted the development of regional politics , economy, and culture in the area under the regims, contributed to the fusion of different ethnic minorities as well . During the course of time , the civilization created by them merged with the civilization in the central area.It is of great significance to research on the different regimes in the border areas and its hinterland in terms of their politics, economy and culture; to analyze their special characteristics and contents; to probe their historical significance and their influences; I have learn the experiences and lessons by relevant historical records and the analytic method of Marxist historical theory in this thesis.The association between Nanzhao kingdom and Tang china. The association between the border regime and the central regime experienced ups and downs.Yunnan has been an organic part of China since Qin Dynasty . On the one hand, its development was influenced by the central regime. On the other hand, it played its part in the unification of the country.Although the contract and association between the border regime and central regime was various in the form, the relationship between them was intimate.
