Li Panlong Tang Election Study

Poems of the Tang Dynasty became very popular in the Ming Dynasty. There appeared many different volumes of Tang poetry in society, among which "Anthology of the Tang Dynasty Poetry" edited by Li Panlong is a very outstanding one. The poetic thoughts of Li Panlong, as an important poetic school of the Ming Dynasty, were very popular with some people. The Anthology produced a great impact on the later poem writing both at home and aboard, especially in Japan. There appeared many different editions of this Anthology in the later ages. The first part of the article is to comb the different editions of the Anthology and its spreading in the later dynasties. Critics of later ages made a lot of notes and commentaries about the Anthology, which expressed different poetic thoughts. The second part mainly deals with these notes and commentaries. The last part of the article mainly talks about the Anthology's tremendous influence on the poem of the later ages, especially poems of Japan.
