| The emergence of Metaphysics is an important turning point in the history of Chinese philosophy. The transition from the study of Confucian Classics in Han Dynasty to the Metaphysics in Wei and Jin Dynasties has the intrinsic inevitability in the evolution of thought and logic. The thesis attempts a brief analysis of the transition of the thought.First, start with the depth of the study of Confucian Classics. The properties of the Study do not fit in with the needs of new society. The decline of the Study is actually the consequence of theologization, complication, conservatism and accomplishment of the historical mission of the new-text School in classical studies. The inward reformation of the Study is the actual deviation from the Study and sped up the decline of it. In the second place, after the Study's decline, social thoughts of all kinds converge into one of ideological emancipation that values brevity and connotation. The new thought manifests the profound development from concept and objective being to concept and implication, and from political criticism by scholars to impractical discussion. Hence, the thought tends to be profound and lasting and is rich in mental analysis. Furthermore, in the analysis of the characteristics of the Jin Zhou School and its relationship with Wang Bi, the paper reveals that Jin Zhou School is the important source of Wang Bi's thought. Finally, analysis is given of He Yan and Wang Bi's philosophical thoughts to show that these two men's innovation in ontology and epistemology, especially Wang's, marks the emergence of Metaphysics, and the great transition of the thought results. The thesis attempts the analysis of the development of Wei and Jin Metaphysics based on the criticisms and self-examinations of the study of Confucian Classics in Han Dynasty. The Wei and Jin Metaphysics rectifies the study of Confucian Classics in Han Dynasty in an extreme manner, which not only meets the needs of the society but also is the inevitable result of academic evolution, and not only embraces inheritance but also enjoys transcendence. The Metaphysics' substitute for the theologized study of Confucian Classics is emancipation of philosophical thought and distillation of thinking and is one real innovation of ideology in the light of philosophy. |
